Interlibrary Loan Policy

The Lovett Memorial Library in McLean participates in the interlibrary loan program. This service allows persons to borrow items from other libraries.

- This service is available to Lovett Memorial Library card holders.
- Patrons requesting the item must be in good standing with the library.
- Borrowing patron will pay return postage at time of checkout. $3.00 minimum
- The library may restrict the number of items requested by an individual when necessary to ensure fair, equal and timely services.
- Lovett Memorial Library and the patron must abide by the rules of the lending library regarding loan periods, renewals, and any charges.
- Any damage to materials or loss will be charged to the patron and will be determined by the lending library.
- The Lovett Memorial Library will lend books for 6 weeks. Renewals are available for another 6 weeks if the item is not on hold for another patron.
- The Lovett Memorial Library maintains the right to refuse an ILL request due to the age or unavailability of the item.
