Preferred Forms of Identification

Texas Drivers License *Utility bill (phone, electric, water)

• Government Issued ID Cards
• Passport
• University or School Identification

* Texas State DL or ID is preferred, but we accept out of state DLs or IDs until you can obtain Texas identification.

Verification of Address 

Along with identification, verification of address must be shown. Please bring along one of the following documents:

• Official mail with recent postmark (bank statement, insurance bill, paycheck stub, etc.)
• Vehicle registration of proof of insurance

• Patrons under 18 must have either a parent or legal guardian sign the STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY at the bottom of the application. 
• Applicant must be a resident of the City of McLean, Gray County or the McLean Independent School District.
• If not a resident, then a temporary card will be issued to Texas Residents. 
• Temporary card holders will be limited to the number of items they can check out.

Replacement Library cards will be $2.00

Replacement of Temporary Library cards will be $1.00
