You are charged daily fines for each item not returned by its due date. The Library will attempt to notify you by mail three days after the item is overdue. You will be notified twice more by mail that your items are overdue before we declare the item lost. You will then be charged for the Item and may be charged latefees. If you find the item and it is in good condition, we will excuse the item charge but you may still be responsable for any late fees.

$.50 a day for Audio Books
$1.00 a day for Movies
Fines may be paid at the Lovett Memorial Library. We accept cash and checks made payable to Lovett Memorial Library.
There is a 1 day grace period for most items. If you do not return or renew eligible items within the grace period, you will be charged overdue fines for each day, including the grace period.
If you have lost an item, you will be responsible for paying a standard replacement fee based on the type of materials lost (paperback, DVD, etc). You will also be charged a processing fee, and you may be charged overdue fines that have accrued on the lost item.
If you have .10 in fines, your card will be blocked. You will not be able to check out, renew materials or access the public computers at library until the fine is taken care of. You will not be able to access the online resources with a fine on your card.
Special Loan Fees
Interlibrary Loan from other libraries is available. Please visit our website to order item or contact the library. There is a $3. postage fee due upon recipe of each item ordered. If item is not picked up in a timely manner from the library, the item will be returned to the owning library and a postage fee will be applied to patron’s record.
If a DVD movie is brought back and is scratched or has excessive figure prints on it, you may be charged a $2.00 cleaning fee. If we are not able to repair the damage to the item you may be charged $25.00 damage fee.
